The Friends are working to bring lights to Penn Treaty Park to enhance safety and cut down on vandalism. Recently, a solar lighting company presented their products to the board. The Friends will work with the Fairmount Park Commission and state and local officials to make the park safe for all who use it. Lights [read more]

Vandalism at Penn Treaty Park

Someone spray-painted graffiti on the wall surrounding the monument to William Penn. The words “Nokietz Gang” are written in black. The police are investigating, and the Friends are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who defaced this monument.
